The U.B. Water Division Water Treatment Plant, managed by David Freeman, is located on U.S. Highway 278 East, inside the Cullman city limits. The plant is a 24 M.G.D. surface water plant serving approximately 110 thousand customers. Each day, the staff of the Water Treatment Plant works to ensure that the water delivered from the facility meets all regulatory requirements and customer expectations for safety, reliability, and quality.
The Water Treatment Plant is owned and operated by the Utilities Board of the City of Cullman and serves residential, commercial, and public authorities in Cullman County. The water source for the City of Cullman is Lake Catoma.
However, The Duck River Reservoir is almost complete and will soon become Cullman's newest water source.
