The City of Cullman Street Department provides services related to the drainage, repair, maintenance and construction of city streets and sidewalks. This department is also responsible for:

• All drainage projects and concrete jobs

• Construction & paving

• Sidewalk, curb & gutter repairs

• Installation and maintenance of all traffic signs

• Transportation of all heavy equipment in the city

The Superintendent of the City of Cullman Street Department is Rick Henry. Office hours are 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Street Department is located in the Public Works Annex on Brantley Avenue.

Damaged Streets or Sidewalks

It is a potentially dangerous situation when there are large potholes or other damage to City streets or sidewalks. It is important for the safety of all our citizens and visitors of our City that these dangers be reported immediately. To report potholes or other street or sidewalk problems contact the Street Department at (256) 737-7560 during regular office hours. On weekends and after office hours contact Police Dispatch at (256) 734-1434. In order to repair the problem as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you can provide the name and location of the street or sidewalk.

Damaged Traffic Sign

It is a potentially dangerous situation when a traffic sign is missing, hidden by bushes or other obstructions or damaged by high winds or a collision. It is important for the safety of all our citizens and visitors of our City that a missing, hidden or damaged traffic sign be reported immediately. Contact the Street Department at (256) 737-7560 during regular office hours. After regular office hours or on weekends, contact Police Dispatch at (256) 734-1434. In order to repair the problem as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you can provide the name and location of the intersection and the nature of the problem.
